JCM assisted in renovating this 77,000-square foot 5-story single-room occupancy hotel. The work included the construction of all new fully ADA-accessible units, and in all other units, new finishes, cabinets, and light fixtures. In the public spaces, the renovation included new finishes in corridors, a new layout on the first floor, including a multi-purpose room and teaching kitchen on the first floor, an enhanced entrance, exterior painting, a new roof, elevator upgrades, and upgrades to the outdoor patio area for residents. This project was quite challenging as it pertained to precise coordination, as residents were relocated in phases to allow work to be performed in groups to minimize impacts on residents and visitors.
