The original five story apartment building was destroyed in a catastrophic fire in November 2011. The new 43,518 square foot replacement building houses two restaurants at grade, served by a single kitchen, with courtyard access and 42 apartment units on the four floors above. The building has a unique U shared design with an interior courtyard with retail facades and entrances from Telegraph Avenue. Some traditional elements were brought back to life like the old sequoia to include clerestories, wainscots, and canopies with a modern twist.
